Celebrating Passover in 2022
Passover is going to feel different this year. As we struggle with the fact that our homes will not (and should not) be filled with extended friends and family reading the Haggadah and singing Passover songs, we have compiled some ways that you can host and participate in a virtual Seder on your own the first night and then join with Rabbi Immerman and Cantor Giglio for our second night virtual community seder.
You can also make your own Matzo!
All you need is flour, water, an oven and 18 minutes!
Start your timer,
combine water and flour,
quickly roll it out,
poke it with holes,
put it in a hot oven.
From the moment the water touches the flour to the time it comes out of the oven must not exceed 18 minutes. My Jewish Learning has a great tutorial. If you make your own - send us pictures!
Connecting
We suggest using Zoom to host your virtual seder so that everyone can participate together, but FaceTime and Skype work as well. If you are hosting a seder and are willing to invite others, or are looking for a seder to host, please contact Sarah Legassey who will help connect people. You can also find additional Seders (and shabbat dinners) at One Table - a website devoted to connecting Jews for Shabbat and Holidays (and now virtually!)
