Dating back to 1843, Congregation Mishkan Israel’s cemetery is where many of the earliest Jews in New Haven are buried. The cemetery is located in the Westville section of New Haven, at the corner of Whalley Avenue and Jewell Street.

The cemetery has a chapel for services, and there are sections for monuments, bronze plaques, and cremains.

CMI members and non-members may purchase plots in the CMI cemetery. For more information about the cemetery or to inquire about purchasing plots, call (203) 288-3877 or contact us.
