We invite you to join any of our groups below led by CMI members. Contact the group leader to get involved. If you do not see a group that you want to join then consider starting your own. Please email a description of your group to Penny Frahm.


Kabbalah Study Group

Join to discuss interesting topics in Judaism and Jewish mysticism. Meetings are usually held monthly, on a Saturday, at 10:30 am using Zoom. The only requirement for participation is intellectual curiosity.

CMI Tots Under 5 Play Group

Pandemic restrictions got you down?!? Time to get out and play! Let’s meet at a playground, one of our backyards, or go for a hike.

Jewish Folk/Rock Group

Did you grow up with the originators of Contemporary Jewish Music such as Michael Isaacson, Debbie Friedman, Jeff Klepper and Danny Friedlander? Are you a fan of the current crop of Jewish Rock Artists such as Josh Nelson, Dan Nichols and Nefesh Mountain? Do you miss singing their songs that you learned in Youth Group of Jewish Summer camp?  The Jewish Folk/Rock Group will explore all of these songwriters, and more. So, bring your voice, your instrument and your Ruach. Everyone's invited to join in.

Outdoor Gatherings

Hike through the woods, picnic at the park, walk the canal trail, go apple picking, and much more! Outdoor activities that bring us together are in the wind. No particular skills, training, or fitness level required. All are welcome!

A Taste of CMI

Each month we will learn from and work with one of the service-focused groups at CMI. This may include, Life Is Delicious, Chevra Hands, Peah Garden, Deyenu, JCARR, Abraham’s tent, CONECT, etc. Get to know your CMI community and have fun with some tikkun olam!

Events Support Team

We are looking for congregants who want to be part of a team to support our building during rental events. This team will make sure that we are meeting the needs of the people using our building while assuring that our beautiful historic facility is respected. The events support team of congregants will receive an orientation and guidance before they select one or more events to support.
