Membership Commitment

“Tell the Israelite people to bring Me gifts; you shall accept gifts for Me from every person whose heart so moves him… And let them make Me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.”
Deut. 25:2,8

Our members make yearly commitments to help sustain our congregation. This act of tzedakah, righteous giving, enables us to offer dynamic programming, worship and learning throughout the year. While our doors are open to all for worship and learning, joining CMI means investing in the present and future of our community.

Membership is required for enrollment in the religious school, for b’mitzvah, and for access to our sacred spaces for life-cycle events. High Holy Day tickets are included in membership as well.

Membership commitments also allow us to maintain and invest in our beautiful historic home. For over sixty years our members have called 785 Ridge Road their spiritual home as they celebrated bar and bat mitzvah, weddings, learned together, worshiped together, and supported each other through challenging times.

Our annual membership commitment levels are listed below and please remember that we never turn anyone away:

  • Family (35 & over) - $2,370

  • Single parent (35 & over) - $1,750

  • Single (35 & over) - $1,340

  • Family or single under 35 $1,030

  • Family or single under 25 $185

To keep our community safe year round, all members are assessed an additional annual security assessment of $105.
