Celebrate Rabbi Brockman's Milestone Birthday !
Join us for Friday night Shabbat services on January 19, at 6:00 p.m. when we honor Rabbi Herbert Brockman on his 80th birthday. After serving as CMI's rabbi for more than 30 years and currently serving as our rabbi emeritus, Herb is the embodiment of the ideals of Reform Judaism and interfaith unity. Much loved by the Congregation, Rabbi Brockman's leadership, devotion, and pastoral empathy is well known throughout the area and the nation. During services, Reverend William Goettler, the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Ministerial Studies at Yale Divinity School, will help us recognize Rabbi Brockman's special day. May the Rabbi's shining light be a beacon of hope and inspiration during these troubling times and for many more years to come.
Please plan to stay afterwards for a special oneg Shabbat.
During services, we will have an opportunity to say the mi shebeirach, read the kaddish list, and recite the mourner’s kaddish. If you wish to add additional names to the mi shebeirach or kaddish list, please email Sarah Legassey by 12pm on Friday.
