Judaica:Telling our stories through Ritual Objects
Bring an object that connects you to your Jewishness - a piece of jewelry, candlesticks, a book, matzoh cover, prayer shawl, artwork, recipe, whatever! The ideas are limitless. It can be handmade or handed down, elegant or humble, religious, cultural, or culinary.
Bring the actual object or a photo if the object is not portable. Be ready to share the story of why it means so much to you.
We will do a little bit of writing, plenty of talking, and lots of listening as we celebrate the "things" that help us connect our Jewish identity. Bring a small notebook, if you have one.
Our intergenerational group provides for female identifying and non-binary individuals thirteen and older a place to meet, form bonds, find meaningful ways to worship, and form community through discussion, song, poetry, storytelling, art, dance, and food.
