Adar II is a month that's known for its connection to joy. Understandably, joy may feel hard to access right now; it’s cold, dark, and the news can feel grim. And yet, in Jewish tradition, it is literally a mitzvah — a sacred obligation — to cultivate joy during this time of the year. How can we fulfill the mitzvah to be joyous?
Join us for an evening of sharing and cultivating joy. We ask that participants bring a short poem, reading, or song that brings you joy. Light snacks that make you happy are also welcome.
We’ll spend our time together this month in the joyous sharing of words and music that bring us happiness and inspiration.
Please RSVP to Michele Abrams if you’d like to join us.
