Join us in person for a group reading of selections from the writings of Rabbi Robert E. Goldburg
The Confronting Racism planning group will lead a group reading from the writings of Robert E. Goldburg, who served as CMI’s rabbi from 1948 to 1982. Rabbi Goldburg inspired our congregation to work for civil rights and racial justice and was responsible for Dr. King’s visit to CMI in 1961. We will reflect on Rabbi Goldburg’s legacy and discuss its relevance in light of the progress toward and challenges to our achieving a more racially just society today. If you would like to volunteer to be one of the (8 to 10) readers, please contact Nancy Yedlin nyedlin@aol.com .
