JOIN THE POST CARD WRITING INITIATIVE AT CMI
TO REACH UNDER-REPRESENTED VOTERS
The Reform Jewish Movement is partnering with the Center for Common Ground's Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) Campaign to engage under-represented voters through postcarding efforts in key states. The Social Action Committee of Mishkan Israel is joining this effort by organizing postcard writing sessions at the synagogue in September.
Our Jewish tradition is clear: "A ruler is not to be appointed unless the community is first consulted" (Babylonian Talmud Berachot 55a). We believe our democracy is strongest when every voice is heard, and every vote is counted. Join our nonpartisan campaign to ensure all have an equal say in decisions that impact their lives by sending out postcards to voters across the nation.
Two sessions have been scheduled at CMI:
Thursday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m.
We will supply the postcards, the message to be written, and addresses. To cover the cost of postage, we encourage participants to contribute $5 towards stamps.
