Come join with the greater New Haven Jewish community to celebrate Sukkot and help us build a more cohesive and inclusive Jewish community. CMI is one of the co-sponsors of this JEDI (Jewish Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Sukkot, coordinated by the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven. The gathering will be on Thursday, October 5 th , from 5 – 6:30 pm at the Eli Whitney Museum and is free.
We will be joined for this program by special guest Rabbi Isaiah Rothstein, founder of Jewish Federations of North America's JEDI initiative. An orthodox rabbi who currently serves as a Rabbinic Scholar and Public Affairs Advisor at JFNA. Rabbi Rothstein was raised in a multi-racial Chabad family, and sees himself as a human bridge, connecting disparate parts of the Jewish community. Rabbi Rothstein is also a musician and will be leading us in song and storytelling around a bonfire.
Children’s activities will be run by PJ Library, and Kosher food will be served. Join us in the Sukkah with the lulav and etrog, and around the campfire, as we come together to appreciate the beautiful diversity of our community. Please register at https://www.jewishnewhaven.org/sukkot
