More about dr. Deitra Reiser

Deitra believes that organizations will transform into equitable spaces through individual internal change which is then harnessed to drive intentional systemic change. She is skilled at creating spaces for people to explore their identities using intersectional identities as a frame often through the facilitated curriculum she designed called Buidling Racial Stamina in the Jewish Community. The experience allows participants to understand and reflect on how race and racism impact self-identity, society and institutions in order to make antiracist choices.

She has partnered with the Union for Reform Judaism, National Council for Jewish Women, and Shalom Hartman Institute along with other Jewish organizations across the country. Deitra has close to 20 years of experience as a school psychologist. She is an alumna of Bend the Arc’s Selah Leadership Program, a Schusterman Fellow and holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In her free time, you can find her laughing and chatting with the people she loves (including her 2 daughters), hiking, being active, binging shows or reading a book with coffee in hand.
